About 2 ½ pounds of pears, peeled, cored, and diced
3 Tbsp honey
½ tsp ginger powder

Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally as the pears soften and break down, about 2 hours. Reduce hear and simmer for one more hour, until extra liquid has evaporated. Allow to cool, then transfer to a food processor and pulse until smooth. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
